Portofino’s is the real deal when it comes to Italian food in this area. While I haven’t had the chance to dine in yet, I’ve ordered takeout multiple times, and every single dish has been absolutely exceptional. The portobello ravioli is my favorite so far - I would happily eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I could. Just had a wonderful dinner at Portofino‘s on South Tryon. Giovanni has created another masterpiece with his chicken and shrimp kebab on a bed of creamy risotto and vegetables. I hope this stays on the menu as it what is one of the featured specials just this week.The great thing about Portofino‘s is you have lunch ready the next day because the portions are so plentiful. We had a wonderful service from Marina and all the staff. They made our visit a truly wonderful experience!

It was Friday night after a long week, and I had a craving for authentic fired pizza and realized I was near one of my favorite Italian spots... Portofino's, it had been a while since I found myself in the area, and I literally swerved over to the Ayrsley Center when I saw the sign. Giovanni provided excellent customer service. Out for lunch and discovered this quaint Italian restaurant, complete with a brick oven. Group of 10 quickly seated. Waitstaff was very attentive. Delicious entrees cooked to perfection. Lots of beverage selections to pair with every item on the menu--salads, pizzas, a large variety of pasta dishes, sandwiches, and desserts. Our compliments to the chef.
